Mental illness is an epidemic that modern human seems to be succumbing to. In some countries, up to half (!) of their population have been diagnosed with mental illness.
Whilst suffering with mental illness, we struggle with our livelihood, relationships, parenting and every other aspect of life’ enjoyment. We take medications for decades (!), spend a fortune on privately funded talking therapies, and take months off work.
Whilst its personal and societal costs cannot be overestimated, mental health illness remains enormously misunderstood, suffused in societal taboos, and, therefore, not treated effectively.
I am currently writing volume 2 in Human Condition series, the working title for the book is “Mental Health, unraveled”. This book is an ambitious attempt to explain the real cause of any mental illness; why medications do not work, and what is the essence of an effective cure.
If you have an opinion on what should be included in the book- what will be helpful for people to learn about mental health -please let me know!
